75% of your memberships goes directly to funding local events, projects, and good causes in the community.
The remaining 25% covers essential costs such as payment processing, platform development, and running the project.
The project is launching in Bilsthorpe and Ollerton & Boughton first because it needs to start small before expanding.
The goal is to prove the concept locally, then roll it out to more areas as membership grows - so new communities will be included soon and can start benefiting.
The project will launch once 500 people pledge their support.
Reaching this number ensures enough funding to make a real local impact and enough members to secure meaningful rewards and perks from local businesses. If we hit the 500-pledge target, you’ll receive a formal invitation to join the membership and shape The Robin Hood Project.
As soon as the project launches and the first membership cycle is complete, we’ll begin funding approved projects.
Members will receive regular updates, reports, and photos so you can see your £5 in action.
Right now, a pledge is not a payment — it simply shows your interest.
Your details are stored securely for up to 6 months so we can update you on progress. If the project goes ahead, you’ll be asked if you want to become a paying member. You can unsubscribe at any time, and your information is never shared with third parties.
The Robin Hood Project would be a social enterprise, not a charity.
That means the goal is community benefit, not profit — but it also gives flexibility to secure partnerships, offer member rewards, and operate sustainably without relying on grants or donations.
Members will have a direct say.
We’ll shortlist local causes and ideas, and members will vote on what gets funded each cycle. This ensures the money goes where the community feels it’s needed most.
If we don’t reach the target within the set timeframe, we simply won’t launch — no one is charged, and the concept goes back to the drawing board. Your data will be deleted after 6 months unless you choose to stay in touch.
Absolutely. Members can propose ideas — from small community events to support for individuals or groups in need — and these will be reviewed and considered. Please email feedback@therobinhoodproject.co.uk
We’re aiming to work with local businesses to offer exclusive discounts, offers, and perks to members. As membership grows, the rewards will improve - bigger numbers mean better partnerships and better benefits. The aim is to also have all active members automatically entered into a free monthly prize draw.
Not everyone will be able to afford the £5 membership — and that’s absolutely okay.
The idea behind The Robin Hood Project is that those who can and are happy to contribute help create opportunities and support for those who may be struggling. If £5 isn’t manageable for you, you can still benefit from the events, projects, and community improvements funded by the members who are able to join.
This is a community effort — no pressure, no judgement, just support where it’s needed.
